The Mirror Lake State Park is one of the landmark attractions of Wisconsin Dells. Spread across an area of 2,179 acres, the State Park is located at a distance of just three miles from Wisconsin Dells & is comprised of the Mirror Lake, a swimming beach & wetlands.
Mirror Lake
The Mirror Lake State Park contains a narrow reservoir called the Mirror Lake of about 10-14 feet deep with steep sides up to 50 feet made of sandstone. This lake covering an area of 137 acres & reflecting a wooded shoreline forms the centerpiece of the state park. The lake gets its name from the mirror-like glassy smoothness that it most often portrays.

Owing to the favorable location of the Mirror Lake State Park in the major tourist area, thousands of tourists from far & wide throng to the place. Besides, the extensive wooded campgrounds, cottage & a host of interesting activities like kayaking, boating, mountain biking, fishing, etc attract endless adventure tourists.
There are over 151 campsites at the Mirror Lake State Park of which 47 are with electrical hookups. Also available for lodging are group campsites & the Seth Peterson Cottage. Tourists looking for a cool recline near the beach can enjoy at the 200 foot swimming beach & picnic ground. The more adventurous tourists can track their way across the 9.2 miles mountain biking trails or the 17.4 miles cross-country skiing trails.

The Mirror Lake State Park with its specially designed amenities is an equally interesting place for the disabled tourists. Housed in this park are the first accessible camper cabin & activities like fishing pier, a half-mile trail & a picnic shelter meant especially for the wheeled tourists.
